Latest SNP fiasco with litigation gone wrong. Partisan journalist lamenting the dent this makes in the Scottish (SNP) governments reputation for competence. Eh? Where has he been. Any significant issue which has arisen (and there are few given the Scottish Goverment’s resemblance to a glorified county council - think Yorkshire here) they have seriously mishandled and stumbled around looking for someone to blame. As a backdrop they have reduced us to financial ruin. They were landed with the problem of the convicted Lockerbie bomber. A shambles. They failed to take robust professional advice relying instead on a notoriously media friendly oncology pundit rather than a sensible source of practical ontological practitioners and compounded their folly by having the wretched justice secretary making a lengthy speech in public describing their own failure. That might have been bad luck. Children being asked to do the work of adults. On their own account we had the proposal to put a spy in the home of every parent of young children. They could not imagine the totalitarian repressive nature of that. It is thus far stymied but will they learn? Clue - unlikely. And now we have the blustering former first minister and his once loyal handmaiden now exalted to a (holding?) role as his successor governing over us at each other’s throats. What fun. Competence? What nonsense.
The suffering goes on.
