Rising Drug Deaths

We note another sad rise in the number of drug related deaths in Scotland. Unsurprisingly this rise has occurred largely since the advent of an SNP government. We can see why. Despair affects us all at times and the prospect of the SNP in charge would make death seem a  less unattractive option for many of us! There is a cure! Kick them out.

Rewriting History

A common delusion in many societies and unsurprisingly the SNP is at it big time. The most recent example is the outpourings of our former first minister. This ridiculous ex Maoist buffoon held a referendum which quite properly he lost. The full horror of what would have happened had he won is becoming clearer daily. Not content to retreat  and repent this ludicrous man is now crying foul on the reporting of his folly and demanding that accounts of the event are rewritten. doubtless he will want a rematch. Tell him where to go!

Navel Gazing

A noted public intellectual has criticised the UK for a predisposition to navel gazing. He may be right. We do seem overly concerned with our own narrow concerns and negligent of many wider issues. Has he been to Scotland recently where navel gazing has been elevated from a fault to a principle of life? Our government is dedicated to nationalism - a despicable creed in any time but monstrously inappropriate in our connected world where co-operation and internationalism are essential. From the SNP we get no sense of this, no intelligence, no ability, no application to leaven their leaden depressed view of life. That their rancorous ideology is currently in favour beggars belief. I am however confident that my countrymen and women will in time  see sense and send this ridiculous rabble packing. Join in!

Its not our fault!

Who said that? The SNP of course. Every hour of every day!  of course if nothing bad is ever their fault then nothing good can be down to them either. Fair's fair! And so it is. We have had this gang of third rate people in power in Scotland for 8 years and they have done nothing but whine about the evils of the UK - that same UK which has subsidised their overgrown county council and kept them in power. Enough is enough. They have to go. Do it!

Luddite Nonsense

Our wonderful SNP government have given further evidence of their stupidity and ignorance. They are seeking to make GM crops illegal. It is presumably a sop to their green chums who left to their own devices would ban agriculture as unnatural - which in a sense it is but hey we would none of us be here without it!. It makes no sense. The most reliable method of discovering how best to confront the future is the method of science - observation, thought, experiment and on and on. This process has given us GM crops for good reasons. They are an answer to many of the most pressing problems facing mankind and they merit further study both as to development and deployment. Decision  making is not easy and thus well beyond the luminaries of the SNP - they after all think independence will improve life! GM crops are here to stay and for the better and the SNP will in time have to suck it up. Meantime - people will suffer.
(We must also note that much of the opposition to GM crops is an ill concealed aspect of rampant anti-Americanism and thus this fits well with the aims of  a nationalist, xenophobic rabble such as the SNP)

Is it because they are Republicans?

A fair proportion of the SNP are republicans. (More than we might suppose but keeping quiet for the time being.) They would in their socialist paradise of an independent Scotland have no truck with the queen and royalty of any sort. (We might get President Alex in stead!). That's bizarre but not totally  crazy. There must be the odd well functioning republic here and there - though not I fancy a cold impoverished enclave of around only 5 million stuck on the edge of a large continent.
More pressingly however the SNP has come to resemble "The" Republicans  - in the USA. Like them the SNP has given up on politics, and is in denial of the basic facts of existing (under them we couldn't call it living). They are as we have seen now an irrational religion peddling extreme nonsense to the public in pursuit of objectives which they themselves do not understand or agree about. People will vote for the republicans in USA as they vote for the SNP. Their lives are troubled, a sensible way out is complex, hard and slow a'coming and here are politicians telling them how they can solve their problems in a few simple steps. Religions have been doing this (a lot better) since the beginnings of human life and it is as fraudulent from the SNP as from anyone else. Give them the heave.
